SJOG Community services Gender Pay Gap 2024
Overall, our gender pay gap reveal a + 1.5% bias in favour of males (versus +2.1% last year). However, when looked at under the median gender pay gap this falls to -2.4% (-0.2% in 2023).
The gender pay gap for part-time staff reveals a -9.2% mean (-8.9% in 2023) or -12.8% median (-13.6% in 2023) ranking in favour of female employees. This reflects the number of senior female staff who opt to work less than full time.
The 2024 gender pay gap for contract staff was +1.5% in favour of males based on the mean but -2.4% in favour of females when assessed using the median. This is a slight change on our 2023 survey results which saw a recorded mean of +0.9% in favour of males, falling to -0.5% in favour of females using the median.
In terms of the overall workforce, SJOG community services employs approximately over 2,982 individuals. This breaks down as 23.21% male & 76.79% female and broadly mirrors the distribution of senior/promotional roles throughout the Organisation (see below).
